ICT audit for SMEs

ICT audit for SMEs in Rural Regions

The ICT audit contains several steps that DARRA project does together with a business organization. The first step is to carry out the survey to understand the current state of ICT in the business organization. The survey shows clearly the weak-points of the organization in ICT. The second step is to select the development objects the business organization wants to concentrate. The development objects are connected to organizations business development and this way are connected to core business development. The third step is to make a development plan for business organization. The plan is done together with selected expert to make sure that the implementation actions are concrete business development activities by ICT development.

The implementation of the development plan will be done together with specialists to ensure best possible results for business organization. After implementation of the development plan the ICT survey is done again. The result of this survey will clearly show the development steps that the organization has done in the ICT ladder.

As described the ICT audit for SMEs is not only a tool to measure the level of ICT in SME or micro business but a complete service to clarify the current status of ICT together with development needs and weak-points. Different steps form the measuring the starting level, finding the development objectives, making and implementing the development plan and demonstrating the development steps are motivating factors for SMEs in larger scale for whole Northern periphery region.
