DARRA for Public Organizations
DARRA supports public organisations developing business related ICT services.
Municipalities and public organizations are struggling with the economy and during the global depression the challenges are getting even bigger. DARRA have studied the state of the art of ICT development in public organizations and municipalities. The study is done by designing and implementing the common ICT survey for public organizations. This survey is designed together with all project partners and is implemented in all project regions.
Based on the information collected from public players DARRA is together with these organizations creating a change management programmes to develop and activate these organizations with new development activities and to demonstrate the benefits of modern ICT services. The regional change management programs are designed in regional workshops. The participants in these workshops are the key players in regional development. As a result of the change management programs the selected services are developed and piloted regionally.
Examples of these programmes are the developed services in Shannon region, in Donegal region in Ireland and in Lapland Finland
Different services in project regions will be piloted and will be promoted as a good practices for all project regions. This way public organization will learn and can develop their own eServices. The experiences will be collected and documented for further development work in Northern Periphery regions.
